What we do
Norton Parish Council is part of the framework of Local Government that includes Daventry District Council and Northamptonshire County Council.
The services the Parish Council provides are funded through a compulsory ‘precept’ which forms part of the Council Tax and is collected on their behalf by Daventry District Council. Norton Parish Council is accountable for spending this precept on local amenities. The Parish Council looks at planning applications within the parish prior to their consideration by Daventry District Council, and is responsible for the following facilities:
